Sussex, UK – JLC EV, the UK’s dedicated micro electric vehicle (MEV) specialist for urban business applications, today announces the commercial launch of the Vectrix i-Cargo – a compact, three-wheel electric utility vehicle purpose-built for last-mile delivery, urban logistics, and commercial fleet operations.
The i-Cargo arrives in the UK at a moment when fleet operators across logistics, food delivery, and urban mobility are under mounting pressure to decarbonise, cut operating costs, and maintain access to expanding Clean Air Zones. With its unique tilt-free, three-wheel chassis, powerful dual-motor drivetrain, and swappable battery system, the i-Cargo offers a compelling commercial answer to all three challenges.

Stability Meets Agility: A New Class of Last-Mile Vehicle
The Vectrix i-Cargo is designed to occupy a category of its own: smaller and more agile than a conventional van, yet significantly more capable and stable than a delivery scooter. Its tilt-free, three-wheel chassis always keeps the vehicle upright through tight urban turns and when stationary, meaning fleet managers can recruit from a wider pool of drivers without requiring specialist motorcycle experience.
On congested British streets, the i-Cargo’s form–factor and dynamic three-metre turning circle provides a unique advantage for navigating busy town and city centres, allowing it to pull up directly outside shops and retail units, access restricted loading zones, and operate in dense traffic where a conventional van would struggle to park, let alone deliver. Powered by a 72V / 6kW dual-motor system (2 x 3kW), the i-Cargo reaches speeds of up to 52 mph and delivers a range of up to 93 miles on three battery packs – ample for a full commercial shift. To eliminate downtime, the i-Cargo’s batteries can be swapped in seconds at depots, or charged overnight in under 3.5 hours.
Built for Commercial Work
Despite its compact footprint (2,130 x 1,020 x 1,815 mm), the i-Cargo carries a 235 kg payload, making it perfect for parcel delivery, grocery logistics, food service, and pharmaceutical distribution, to name but a few functionalities. The top-opening rear cargo box can be configured with refrigerated or heated units for temperature-controlled delivery, a critical feature for QSR fleets, food delivery and meal kit operators, and healthcare supply chains.
The single-seat cockpit is designed for all-weather commercial operation: a full roof, front wipers, LCD instrument panel, rear camera, keyless start/stop, and hydraulic rear suspension. The i-Cargo is an L5e category vehicle, operable on a full A1 motorcycle licence or – for drivers aged 21 and over – a full Category B car licence, again significantly broadening the eligible driver pool for fleet managers.
“The i-Cargo fills a gap operators have been trying to solve for years. If it’s too big a job for a cargo bike and too small for a Transit, the i-Cargo sits right in that space. With a form-factor that offers significant advantages on busy city streets, it is accessible to any driver with a full car licence. For fleet managers, that’s a game changer for recruitment and deployment.” Nathalie Hayes, Director, JLC EV
Internationally Proven, UK-Ready
The Vectrix i-Cargo is produced by Vectrix Mobility, a Singapore-headquartered EV manufacturer with deployments across Asia. The platform has been validated across more than forty application scenarios, from e-commerce and postal delivery to airport, hospital, and emergency services operations. JLC EV has selected it as the cornerstone of its three-wheel utility proposition for the UK, alongside the Benzina Zero Duo e-scooter and HAULeR e-cargo bike range, and the Derry Neomor D01 micro electric van.
Combined, these vehicles form what JLC EV describes as a complete micro electric fleet ecosystem, enabling operators to match the right vehicle to every last-mile delivery and urban mobility scenario, from a single e-cargo bike for an independent retailer to a mixed multi-model fleet for a national logistics operator.
